  • 1962

    Creation of the company and production of the first caravan.

  • 1978

    After a trip in the United States, PILOTE decides to produce a first prototype of a Coachbuilt motorhome based on a Bedford chassis.
    The success starts immediately and the manufacturing process can begin.

  • 1983

    PILOTE who is already the leader of the French market for three years devices the concept of the low-profile with the launch of the R300.

  • 1988

    PILOTE meets another success by exporting and extends the range with the first "A-Class" models.

  • 1990

    Industrial but also European culture, PILOTE buys back the German n°6 manufacturer, FRANKIA, located in Franconia, in the North of Bavaria.

  • 2000

    PILOTE purchases the top of range manufacturer LE VOYAGEUR, located near Angers, in France.

  • 2001

    PILOTE buys back RMB,  a German brand of upmarket products.

  • 2002

    Inauguration of the new factory LE VOYAGEUR located in La Membrolle sur Longuenée, close to Angers.

  • 2004

    PILOTE throws an ambitious program of industrial investment on the site of La Chevallerie near Angers.

  • 2006

    Launch of MOOVEO, the fully equipped motorhome you can afford !

  • 2007

    The new PILOTE range is very successful, particularly with the new layouts with central bed.

  • 2008

    PILOTE widens the range Explorateur with a new range of A-Class on base FIAT AL-KO with single or double axles.
    Launch of the brand City Van, the A-class van in less than 6m long.
